Starting Equipment & Proficiencies

  • Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + CON modifier
  • Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + CON modifier per level after 1st

  • Starting Equipment:

    • (a) a light crossbow and 20 bolts or (b) any simple weapon
    • (a) a priest’s pack or (b) an explorer’s pack
    • A shield and a holy symbol

Level 1

  • Spellcasting — Full caster using Wisdom. Prepares spells from entire cleric list. Ritual casting.
    • Prepared spells = WIS modifier + cleric level (minimum 1)
    • Spell save DC = 8 + proficiency + WIS modifier
    • Spell attack = proficiency + WIS modifier
    • Focus: holy symbol
  • Divine Domain — Choose subclass. Grants domain spells (always prepared, don’t count against limit) and a domain feature at 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 17th.

Level 2

  • Channel Divinity (1/rest) — Two base effects:
    • Turn Undead — Each undead within 30ft: WIS save or turned for 1 minute (or until it takes damage). Turned = must flee, can’t take reactions, can only Dash or escape.
    • Plus domain-specific Channel Divinity option(s).

Level 3

  • Spell slots: 4/2

Level 4

  • Ability Score Improvement (or Feat)

Level 5

  • Destroy Undead (CR 1/2) — Undead failing Turn Undead save are instantly destroyed if at or below the CR threshold.

Level 10

  • Divine Intervention — Action: describe assistance, roll percentile. If ≤ cleric level, deity intervenes (DM chooses effect, any cleric/domain spell appropriate). On success: can’t use for 7 days. On fail: can use again after long rest.

Level 11

  • Destroy Undead CR threshold: 2

Level 12

  • Ability Score Improvement (or Feat)

Level 13–17

  • Spell slots continue scaling. Destroy Undead improves at 14th (CR 3) and 17th (CR 4).

Level 18

  • Channel Divinity (3/rest)

Level 19

  • Ability Score Improvement (or Feat)

Level 20

  • Divine Intervention improvement — Automatically succeeds, no roll required.

War Domain

War Priest (Level 1)

  • When you take Attack action, make one weapon attack as bonus action. Uses = WIS modifier per long rest (minimum 1).

Channel Divinity: Guided Strike (Level 2)

  • +10 to an attack roll. Declare after roll but before DM says hit/miss.

Channel Divinity: War God’s Blessing (Level 6)

  • Reaction: grant another creature within 30ft +10 to an attack roll.

Divine Strike (Level 8)

  • Once per turn, +1d8 damage on weapon hit (same damage type as weapon). Increases to 2d8 at 14th.

Avatar of Battle (Level 17)

  • Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, slashing from nonmagical weapons.

Life Domain

Bonus Proficiency (Level 1)

  • Heavy armor

Disciple of Life (Level 1)

  • Healing spells of 1st+ level restore additional HP = 2 + spell level.

Channel Divinity: Preserve Life (Level 2)

  • Action: restore HP = 5x cleric level, divided among creatures within 30ft. Can’t exceed half their max HP. No undead/constructs.

Blessed Healer (Level 6)

  • When you heal others with 1st+ spell, you regain 2 + spell level HP.

Divine Strike (Level 8)

  • +1d8 radiant on weapon hit, once per turn. 2d8 at 14th.

Supreme Healing (Level 17)

  • Healing spell dice use maximum values instead of rolling.

Validation Checklist

  • Divine Domain chosen at Level 1
  • Domain bonus proficiencies applied
  • Domain spells listed as always prepared (at correct levels)
  • Correct number of cantrips for level
  • Prepared spell count = WIS mod + cleric level
  • Channel Divinity uses correct (1 at 2nd, 2 at 6th, 3 at 18th)
  • Destroy Undead CR threshold correct for level
  • 2 skill proficiencies from class list
  • WIS and CHA saving throw proficiency
  • Proficiency bonus correct for level
  • HP calculated correctly (1d8 + CON per level)
