Elves who have lived in the Astral Plane so long that they’ve been transformed by its timeless, radiant nature.
Racial Traits
Creature Type. Humanoid
Size. Medium
Speed. 30 feet
Ability Score Increase. +2 to one score and +1 to another, OR +1 to three different scores (Tasha’s customizable ASI rules)
Astral Fire. You know one of the following cantrips (your choice): Dancing Lights, Light, or Sacred Flame. Spellcasting ability: Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma (choose when you select the race).
Darkvision. 60 feet.
Fey Ancestry. Advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Keen Senses. Proficiency in Perception.
Starlight Step. As a bonus action, you teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Uses = proficiency bonus per long rest.
Astral Trance. You don’t need to sleep. Instead, you trance for 4 hours. After each trance, you gain proficiency in one skill and one weapon or tool of your choice (selected from the PHB lists). These proficiencies last until the end of your next long rest.
Languages. Common and one other language of your choice.

Notes
- Starlight Step is excellent for positioning — bonus action teleport with multiple uses per day.
- Astral Trance’s daily proficiency swap is unique and very flexible for utility. Pick what you need each day.
- Sacred Flame (via Astral Fire) gives a WIS-based attack cantrip to non-caster builds.
