Cult of Bazeel
Bazeel, the Devil King, was born when The Creator expelled all wickedness from Elythrael’s divine form. That darkness gathered and took shape — a being of pure malice, vengeance, and destruction.
Beliefs
- The world is corrupt and unjust; only through fire, suffering, and chaos can it be remade
- Many followers are driven by bitterness, betrayal, or a deep desire for revenge
- Cultists perform dark rituals and offer sacrifices to feed Bazeel’s growing power, hastening the day he will overthrow Elythrael and plunge the world into eternal chaos
Sacred Places
Hidden and forsaken locations: abandoned temples, underground catacombs, ruined fortresses, and deep caverns where sunlight never reaches. Defiled with sacrificial altars, burning braziers, and walls carved with the cult’s bloody sigil.
The Dark Reward
Followers who fully embrace Bazeel’s teachings are promised transformation into devils upon death. However, this transformation cannot occur through suicide — death must come at the hands of another. Once reborn as devils in Bazeel’s infernal army, their first task is to seek vengeance upon those who wronged them in life. When retribution is complete, their soul belongs entirely to Bazeel for eternity.
Rituals
- Night of the Sabbath — cultists gather around massive pyres to burn offerings and perform sacrifices. The rising smoke is believed to carry their hatred and devotion to Bazeel.
- Crimson Offering — blood sacrifices performed when cultists seek Bazeel’s favor, meant to strengthen his influence in the mortal world.
Symbol
Two horns with a dagger driven through them. Wherever this symbol appears, suffering soon follows.
