Isar Recmir

Co-founder of Weber-Hollows alongside Arador-Barrows (Aradorn the Unifier) roughly 50 years ago. Full name revealed in session 2026-05-01: Isar Recmirnot a Barrows. The two founders were brothers in arms / sworn brothers, not blood.

Described by Flinter-Barrows as someone Aradorn “was close with.” The crypt panels later reveal the relationship as more complicated than friendship.

The Empty Casket

In session 2026-05-01, the party opened both sarcophagi in the Barrows-Family-Crypt. Isar’s casket is empty. No body. No bones. Nothing.

The party’s working theory (Dorian’s coined term, “Crypt Lord”): Isar is animate and undead, possibly wearing Aradorn’s missing ring, possibly the source of the dark pall over Weber Hollows. The cattle blood symbol of Amareses at the pasture is suspected to be Isar misdirecting blame onto the nature goddess.

The Brothers’ Story (per crypt panels)

The crypt’s three picture etchings, when their bottom halves were uncovered, told this version of the story:

  1. The brothers argued (the top half showed a brotherly bond — a deliberate facade).
  2. One brother set fire to allow the other to venture into cave depths. Metallic structures appear in the background — “metal augmentations to homes, something nature would reject” (possible Mightstone / Weakstone connection).
  3. Within the cave, the cave collapsed, separating the brothers forever.

Which brother went into the cave and which set the fire is not yet clear. The party leans toward Isar being the one who survived (or escaped, or never died) given his empty casket.

Open Threads

  • Where is Isar’s body, and is he conscious / hostile?
  • What metallic structures did the brothers build, and where are they now?
  • Is Isar the entity behind the fog, the red eyes, the savage animals?
  • Does Flinter know any of this?
  • Are there Recmir descendants elsewhere?
